Who is ready for warmer weather, flowers and trees in bloom and a new season to arrive? If you answered “yes,” then this guide of events, activities and unique happenings is sure to help you make the most of spring here in the Town of Parker.
Think Green: Join Parker Parks and Recreation in celebration of Arbor Day at the annual Arbor Day Celebration April 27.
During this event at Discovery Park, you can pick up a free seedling tree or shrub, chat with the Town’s Parks and Forestry team, take part in family-friendly activities and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast.
Adopt An Outdoor Space: Enjoy the sunshine while you help keep Parker beautiful by adopting and maintaining an outdoor area. Multiple options are available to Adopt-a-Flowerbed, Adopt-an-Open-Space, Adopt-a-Trail or Adopt-a-Street throughout our community. And after record-setting participation in 2018, we’re looking for even more volunteers this year!
To learn more about these programs and other volunteer opportunities visit the Town’s volunteer information webpage.
Keep Active: Parker Parks and Recreation’s catalog of adult sports, youth sports, fitness classes, programs and camps offer something for everyone looking to break a sweat or take part in some friendly competition. Mark your calendars, too, for summer sport registration, which takes place in March and April.
Other opportunities to get out and about include the Senior Stroll on May 29, along with Parents’ Night Out and Saturday Skate Night events.
