2018 Parker Stars Stripes Celebration-341

Make your plans for the month ahead with our list of five things to know for July.

Parker Stars & Stripes Celebration July 4:
Spend your Independence Day with the Town of Parker at the Parker Stars & Stripes Celebration presented by Ent Credit Union. Festivities take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at Salisbury Park, 12010 N. Motsenbocker Road.

Attendees will be treated to live music, activities for all ages, delicious food vendors and one of the best fireworks displays around.

Visit the Stars & Stripes Celebration event page for details on parking, seating options, the new weather advisory system and more. See you on July 4!

Get your “Game On” during National Park and Recreation Month:
July is National Park and Recreation Month, a program of the National Recreation and Park Association. Get your “Game On,” the 2019 theme, all month long with special free or discounted activities being hosted by Parker Parks and Recreation.

Click over to Parker Rec’s National Park and Recreation Month page to see all that is planned, including the annual rubber duck hunt, free fitness classes, sport demonstrations and more!

“The Full Monty” takes PACE Center stage:
In this musical comedy based on the film of the same name, six down-on-their-luck steel workers strip down to their roots to reclaim their lives through less-than-conventional means.

“The Full Monty,” presented by Parker Arts and Sasquatch Productions, will be presented at the PACE Center 13 times between July 19 and Aug. 4.

This musical concludes Parker Arts’ 2018-2019 season. Become a Parker Arts Family Circle Member to attend the 2019-2020 Season Announcement Party on July 12 and be among the first to hear about next season’s schedule and buy tickets.

Kids’ TRY-athlon July 20:
Parker Parks and Recreation’s Kids’ TRY-athlon with Advanced Pediatric Associates is about fun over competition. On Saturday, July 20, kids can show their skills in swimming, biking and running, in and around the Parker Recreation Center.

Early registration continues through July 17 and can be completed on the event webpage.
