The Economic Development Department works with national, state, regional and local elected officials and strategic partners to create balanced economic growth that promotes job growth, innovation and entrepreneurship. Economic Development positions the assets of Parker and the talents of its residents to brokers, developers, investors and end-users to increase investment and diversify the tax base and advance economic prosperity. This department also works to retain and expand existing businesses and attract new business and development to the Town.
How does this department impact daily life for Parker residents?
Balanced economic growth broadens the tax base and provides increased choices of goods and services to residents. It also improves employment opportunities for Town residents. These vital activities directly increase the revenues available for vital Town services like parks and recreation, public works, and in general, allow residents to live, work, shop and play in Parker.

Parker residents and business owners are the Town’s BEST ambassadors and have a significant impact on a visitor’s impression and interest in our Town. Parker is part of larger regional and sub-regional economies where many Parker residents work and shop.
