Town Q&A is a compilation of questions received by the Town of Parker across its social media accounts from the previous month. Have a question about the Town or Town operations to ask? Send your questions to Town of Parker Digital Marketing Coordinator Ryne Dittmer at firstname.lastname@example.org to be answered in a future Town Q&A post.
Why did the big blue chair go missing?
The big blue chair in O’Brien Park, a favorite photo spot for residents and visitors alike, is back in its rightful place after some repairs and a fresh coat of paint. The chair is situated at the corner of Mainstreet and Victorian Drive at the park entrance. If you take a photo with this Parker landmark, tag it on social media with #TownofParkerCO to share it with us!
Where did the O’Brien Park mac and cheese statue go?
The mac and cheese sculpture in O'Brien Park, entitled Say Cheese by artist Justin Deister, was part of the 2017-2018 Douglas County Art Encounters Program for the Town of Parker.
Each year, several art installations are placed along Mainstreet as part of the program to introduce residents and visitors to new artists and artwork. The pieces are exhibited for a year and replaced with new ones each May/June. New sculptures are going up for the 2018-2019 cycle of the program, so be sure to visit Mainstreet soon to see the latest installations.

What are the hours of the Discovery Park Play Fountain?
The Discovery Park Play Fountain hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily during the summer months, with the exception of special events. In the event of inclement weather, the Play Fountain will shut off.
The approximately 900 square foot water feature, maintained by Parker Parks and Recreation, includes programmable water jets embedded below the paving surface and color changing LED lights, allowing use during the day or on a warm summer evening.
