Please take a few minutes to learn more about Sheryl!

How long have you worked for the Town of Parker? Where did you work before Parker?
"I have worked for the Town for 16 years--six and a half years as a part-time Childcare Attendant in Recreation when my kids were little and nine and a half in Human Resources.

"Prior to working for the Town, I worked in various roles over 15 years for Nordstrom in California and Colorado, including management in Customer Service and Human Resources."

Tell us about your job and how it impacts the Parker community.
"In my role as Recruitment Specialist, I take great pride in helping managers bring the absolute best employees on board to serve our community."

What do you most enjoy about working for the Town of Parker?
"Interacting with all of the great people that work here across all departments. Each department is so unique… Cultural, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, the Police Department, to name a few. It’s like getting to work in HR for multiple companies!"

What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
"It is on my not-so-distant bucket list to attempt writing a screenplay adaptation of a book that was published about my great, great grandmother."

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
"When not trying to keep up with my two awesomely busy high school kids, I enjoy spending time at my significant other’s ranch in northeastern Colorado."

What’s one thing that you feel sets Parker apart from other communities?
"I think we’ve managed to hold on to the hometown feel as we’ve grown over the years."

What is the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
"Stonehenge (actually, I loved all of England--London, Bath--for the incredible history)."

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
"Sadly, right now, I might have to say my cell phone!"

If you could do another job for the Town of Parker for just one day, what would it be?
"I would want to work as the Program Assistant at the PACE Center to get to meet and interact with a cool big name performer when they are in Parker for a show."

Thank you, Sheryl, for all that you do for the Town of Parker!
