Town Council Meeting Update

Acknowledgment of Service of Mayor and Councilmembers
Outgoing Mayor Mike Waid and Councilmembers Debbie Lewis and Joshua Rivero were recognized for their service to the Town of Parker.

Swearing-In of Councilmembers
Three individuals, John Diak, Laura Hefta and Todd Hendreks, were sworn in as Town of Parker Councilmembers. Hefta and Hendreks were selected to their first terms, while Diak was selected to his third term.

Acting Mayor Appointment
Due to the change in Town Council membership, the newly seated Town Council needed to appoint an Acting Mayor to conduct the Meeting until the newly elected Mayor was sworn into office. Councilmember Cheryl Poage was appointed Acting Mayor.
Approved 4-0 (In Favor: Diak, Hefta, Hendreks, Poage)

Resignation of Councilmember Jeff Toborg
Town Council accepted the resignation of Jeff Toborg from his position as Councilmember in order to assume the role of Town of Parker Mayor.
Approved 4-0 (In Favor: Diak, Hefta, Hendreks, Poage; Abstained: Toborg)

Swearing-In of Mayor
Jeff Toborg was officially sworn in as Parker’s seventh Mayor since the Town’s incorporation in 1981.
