[ARCHIVED] Keeping Parker Beautiful Takes Teamwork!

As the summer begins, the Town would like to remind residents about the importance of the upkeep of residential and commercial property in Parker. The Town has ordinances in place to help keep our community beautiful and maintain property values, which are enforced by the Neighborhood Services Division. One of the most effective ways to maintain maximum property value is simply to take care of your property.

Neighborhood Services staff conduct both proactive and complaint-based inspections of private property. Ordinance violations can result in a courtesy warning, a notice of violation or even a ticket to Municipal Court and a fine. Some of the items inspected by the Neighborhood Services Division include:
Abandoned/Inoperable Vehicles
Vehicles without current license plates; dismantled, junked or wrecked vehicles; and those obviously unable to be driven because of flat tires, they are on jacks, broken windows, etc. Putting tarps over the vehicles does not correct the problem.

Grass/Weeds on
Developed Property
Any non-native grass or weeds over 12-inches tall must be cut. We request that noxious weeks be pulled or sprayed as mowing them won’t remove the threat of spreading. Please contact Neighborhood Services regarding undeveloped fields.

No trash, junk or debris may be left or stored in front or side yards. This includes appliances, remnants of wood, metal or plastic, brush or trash piles, discarded materials or machinery, auto parts, etc.

Obstructing Sidewalks,
Streets or Gutters
Sidewalks, streets or gutters may not be obstructed by landscaping materials, basketball hoops or other athletic equipment, roll-away dumpsters or other trash receptacles (with the exception of trash day pick up).

Thank you in advance for inspecting your property to ensure that you are not in violation of any of these items. For questions or more information, please visit or call Neighborhood Services at 303.841.2332. Thank you for helping to make the Town a better place to live!
