    This parent-teen safe driving workshop is designed for drivers age 14 to 18 and their parent/guardian. The ultimate goal is to save lives by changing attitudes and behaviors that become lethal behind the wheel of a car. The course will focus on the dangers or reckless and distracted driving.

    The Town invites you to help plant 60 trees of various species including: elms, bur oak, white fir, pear and a few evergreen trees. No need to sign-up, just bring your own gloves and shovels and the Town will provide breakfast refreshments!

  5. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

    April 26, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Parker Police Department

    The Parker Police Department will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction as part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back campaign. You can drop your prescription drugs off at the Parker Police Department, 18600 E. Lincoln Meadows Parkway, on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous.

  3. Celebrate Arbor Day at Tallman Meadow Park!

    April 26, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Tallman Meadow Park

    Come lend a hand and experience Arbor Day on Saturday, April 26! Parker Parks and Recreation will be celebrating by planting trees at Tallman Meadow Park, 12335 Canterberry Parkway. You’re invited to help plant around 30 trees of various species, including smaller ornamentals, shade trees and evergreens. There’s no need to sign-up, just bring your own gloves and shovel. The Town will provide donuts, coffee and hot chocolate! After the tree planting, be sure to stop by the arborist table and meet the Town’s Parks and Forestry team. They can answer questions about tree planting, pruning and tree selection. Learn how to take care of your trees and make them last. Kids will also have the opportunity to build and take home a bird house courtesy of Home Depot! Please remember that the Town will not be providing shovels at Arbor Day.     Due to overwhelming response to the Parker Area Historical Society program held in February, “Digging Up Unexpected Parker History,” archaeologist Gordon Tucker will present this popular lecture again on April 23 at 7 p.m. at the Parker Library. Dr. Tucker will discuss what was discovered during construction of the Reuter-Hess Dam and Reservoir during this one-hour free lecture.
