The Town Council, Planning Commission and our citizens provide the vision for the future of the Town. The Comprehensive Planning Division facilitates the development of those ideas into plans and programs intended to bring these visions to reality. In doing so, the Division is involved in a number of special projects that involve a wide range of topics from land use to transportation to environmental protection to trails and open space.

Each project that the Division works on is as unique as the issue that has brought it to the public’s attention. Projects often entail significant research, public outreach and forward thinking. The final products are intended to provide a blueprint for the future, to translate the community vision into guidelines and policies that shape our Town.
