Rivero decided to run for Town Council because at his coffee shop, he talks to a wide range of citizens each day about Parker and their feelings about what is and isn’t going well. He feels he can use what he has learned through this process to benefit the Town and its residents. He is highly accessible to Parker residents and enjoys being involved in the community.
Rivero’s top priorities on Council include ensuring that the Town stays on a strong financial path, enhancing the Town’s Economic Development efforts to bring more business to Parker, creating activities for teens and taking care of the Town’s aging community.
Rivero graduated from Ponderosa High School, studied Western History at Metropolitan State College of Denver and studied Swedish in Stockholm for two years. Through his business, he sponsors many events and causes that occur downtown. He is also a proud member of the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary.
Above all else, Rivero enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys living in Colorado because it offers a lot of outdoor opportunities; his favorites include cycling, hiking, kayaking, golf and disc golf.
