Diak’s priorities on Town Council will include enhancing economic development; sustaining and increasing transportation infrastructure; ensuring citizens have the ability to fully utilize and benefit from our parks, recreational and cultural arts opportunities; and providing resources to the aging population.
Diak holds a BS in Business Administration/Finance, a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver and a Financial Planning Certificate from Metropolitan State College. Diak works as a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner for Oatley & Diak, LLC, a locally-owned Registered Investment Advisory firm that focuses on providing financial advisory services to families, trusts and businesses.
Diak has also been involved in a variety of community activities and organizations including the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club, Financial Coaching Ministry at Southeast Christian Church, E-470 Safety Foundation and the Stay Alive on Highway 83 program. In addition, he has donated professional services to local organizations including Praying Hands Ranch, Parker Senior Center, Double Angel Ballpark and the Miller Safety Center.
Diak has lived in the Parker community for over 29 years. Currently, John and his family reside in the Bradbury Hills subdivision.
In his free time, Diak enjoys spending time with his wife and children, as well as golfing, running and hiking.
