Business License FAQ
Do
I need a license?
All business operating in Parker must apply for a Business and
Tax License. Even businesses that do not "sell" anything
must obtain a license. The licensing process ensures that the
Town has current emergency notification information, that the
area is properly zoned for your business activity, and that the
Town can track tax filings.
Businesses that deliver taxable items into Parker must generally
obtain a license to do so and must collect the Town sales tax.
How do I get a license?
License applications are available from the Sales Tax Division
by calling 303.805.3228, coming into Town Hall to pick one up,
or by downloading the application below. The licensing process
takes approximately 20 days from the date the application is received
before the license is issued.
Do I have to renew the license?
Yes, the license is valid for one year. The license must be renewed
by Dec. 31 of every year. The Sales Tax Division sends license
renewal notices before Dec. 1 of every year.
Home-based businesses must complete the License
Application as well as the Home
Occupation Agreement Form. All other businesses must
complete the License
