The new PACE Center will be home to a 500-seat theater, a beautiful event room with a kitchen, an art gallery, a dance studio and classroom space. Designed by the nationally-acclaimed architecture firm Semple Brown Design, the facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011.

The PACE Center will be located on the southeast corner of Mainstreet and Pine Drive in historic downtown Parker. Once open, this state-of-the-art facility will provide a wide variety of family-oriented cultural, arts, scientific and educational programming to Parker residents and serve as a rental venue for community, business and social events.

The official groundbreaking for the PACE Center was held on April 22. Although rain moved the event indoors, spectators enjoyed performances from local Parker artists Apex Dance and the Parker Chorale.

We’ve received many questions about job openings at the new PACE Center. Alll open positions will be posted on the Town Web site under the employment section. Please be aware that some of the positions in the Center will be filled by existing Town staff.

In 2010 we plan to hire a Marketing Coordinator. In 2011, we plan to hire two full-time positions, including a Technical Coordinator (theatrical equipment and backstage management) and a Business Coordinator. We will also be hiring a variety of part-time positions in 2011 to include box office, event support and instructors.
