The Town of Parker established the Parker Authority for Reinvestment (PAR) on June 19, 2006 to foster development and redevelopment that maintains our community's high quality of life and our public spaces through alleviating and preventing blight within our community. 

The PAR focused their first urban renewal plan efforts on the Parker Central Area. Property owners and businesses within the Parker Central Area were invited to a series of stakeholder meetings to develop the Parker Central Area Reinvestment Plan. It was important to the PAR that the process be open to all stakeholders and that the final product reflect the infrastructure and economic needs of the Area.
