Auditions for PACE Center shows

Oklahoma! by Parker Theatre Academy in partnership with PACE and Parker United Methodist Church
April 19, 6-9 p.m. and April 20, 2-5 p.m. for ALL AGES. Call 303.805.6800 to set an audition appointment. Please prepare a 30 second song, preferably from Oklahoma!, and bring sheet music. Be prepared to dance. Fee required for show; non-paid roles. Callbacks are April 21, 2-5 p.m.
Performances are in late July and early August at the PACE Center. The show is directed by Kim Moore.

Curly – age 20-30, confidant, charismatic, a cowboy
Laurey – age 18-25, loves Curly, an innocent but spunky & headstrong farm girl
Ado Annie – age 18-25, fun loving, good-time girl, flirtatious, gullible
Will Parker – age 20-30, fun-loving cowboy, loves Ado Annie
Jud Fry – age 25-40, strong actor, sullen, mysterious, dangerous
Ali Hakim – age 25-30, character actor-singer, a traveling peddler and con man
Aunt Eller – age 40-60, feisty, middle-aged, down-to-earth,
Andrew Carnes – age 50-60, Ado Annie’s father
Ike Skidmore – age 30-60, is a farmer putting on a box social for the community
Gertie Cummings – age 18-25, must have obnoxious laugh
Cord Elam – age 30-60, the Federal Marshall
Fred – young cowboy
Slim – young cowboy
Jess – young farmer
Chalmers – young farmer
Mike – young farmer
Joe – young farmer
Sam – young cowboy
Ellen – young farm girl
Kate – young farm girl
Sylvie – young farm girl
Armina – young farm girl
Faye – young farm girl
Laurey in the Ballet – age 18-25, featured solo dancer, part of the chorus
Chorus – Is a singing-dancing ensemble with numerous small roles. All ages males, females and children who can sing and/or dance! The chorus is featured in 6 major scenes.
The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet by Classic Acts
April 23: 5-7 p.m. for ages 10-19 at the Mainstreet Center. Cold reading from the script. Cast will be determined the same evening. Non-paid roles.
Performances are June 1 at the PACE Center.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Classic Acts
May 12: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. for adults and teens over 16. Call 303.805.6800 to set an audition appointment. Prepare a one-minute monologue and 32 bars of a show tune. Bring your own CD or iPod accompaniment. (no fee, non-paid roles)
Callbacks are May 13 and 14. If called back, you will be asked to perform a song from Sweeney Todd, accompaniment provided.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays and
Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from noon to 3:30 p.m., May 16 -
Aug 15 at Mainstreet Center and/or PACE Center. Possible extra rehearsals during
Tech Week (Aug. 5-8).
Performances: Aug. 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17 at the PACE Center. Directed by David Truhler.
