Scott
Jackson Joins the Parker Town Council
Scott
was elected into office in 2002 and was relected in November 2006. He will serve on Town Council
until November of 2010. He brings with him many years of professional
experience, including serving in many capacities for the Parker
Chamber of Commerce, as well as owning a small business in Parker
for the past 12 years. He has received numerous awards and commendations,
including the 2004 O’Brien Citizen of the Year, the 2004
Chamber Ambassador of the Quarter and the 2003 Clarke Farms HOA
"Good Neighbor" awards.
Thirteen
years ago when Scott decided to make Parker his home, he was entranced
by Parker’s "small town feel" and wanted a great
place to live, work and raise his children. Moving here in 1992,
Scott, his wife of 18 years Lenae, and sons Bradley, Dylan and
Nicholas are members of the Ave Maria Catholic Church. Scott is
also very active in youth sports and has coached baseball, soccer,
wresting and roller hockey over the years.
Scott
graduated from Metro State College with a degree in Computer and
Management Science and is currently part owner of the CPA firm,
May Jackson Hendrick, LLC.
Besides
coaching youth sports and serving on Town Council, Scott has another
way in which he takes time to give back to the community. In memory
of his older sister, Debbie, who lost her battle with cancer,
Scott organizes a yearly golf tournament at Canterberry Golf Course
to benefit the "Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship."
This scholarship raises money to help students with college expenses.
Scott
has a strong commitment to the Parker community and encourages
you to contact him with questions by calling 303.841.4220 or emailing
sjackson@parkeronline.org or scottj@mjhcpas.com.
