QandA
Town Q&A is a compilation of questions received by the Town of Parker across its social media accounts from the previous month. Have a question to ask about the Town or Town operations? Send your questions to Town of Parker Digital Marketing Coordinator Ryne Dittmer at rdittmer@parkeronline.org to be answered in a future Town Q&A post.

Why have some of the new wayfinding signs been removed?
Some of the recently-installed wayfinding signs throughout the Town of Parker have been removed as their foundations were not set properly. The foundations will be fixed and the signs will be reinstalled at the contractor’s expense. It is expected the signs will be back in place by the end of the year.

How does the Town pick the rotating artwork displayed along Mainstreet each year?
Through Parker Arts, the Town of Parker participates in the Douglas County Art Encounters program each year.

Art Encounters is a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit that showcases a number of sculptures, in various media and styles, displayed in highly visible areas in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Roxborough, and Parker.

From June 2018 through May 2019, the Town of Parker is exhibiting eight sculptures at various locations along Mainstreet to highlight Parker’s growing Creative District in downtown. Get the story behind each of these pieces and learn more about Douglas County Art Encounters on Parker Art’s art exhibits page

How do I volunteer for a Town of Parker event?
Volunteer opportunities associated with Town events are listed at Volunteer Connect Douglas County. Among the current listings are the Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk, Christmas Carriage Parade, Milk and Cookies with Santa at the Parker Fieldhouse, and even next year’s Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration if you like to plan well in advance! Visit the Town’s Volunteer Opportunities website to learn more.
