Make your plans for the month ahead with our list of five things to know for January.
2019 Town Calendar and 2018 Annual Report available:
Parker residents received a copy of the 2019 Town Calendar and 2018 Annual Report in their mailboxes in December.
The publication includes an eight-page summary of 2018 achievements as well as a complete 2019 calendar listing meetings and Town-sponsored and community events. All photos used in the calendar came from local photographers.
If you did not receive a Calendar and Annual Report, or would like an extra one, you may pick up a copy at Town Hall. A digital version is also available on the Town website.
Newsies to make headlines at PACE Center:
Extra! Extra! Disney’s Newsies: The Musical takes the PACE Center stage Jan. 18 through Feb. 10.
Set in turn-of-the century New York City and based on the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right.
Tickets for any of the 16 scheduled performances can be purchased on the show’s website.
Meet your fitness resolutions with Parker Parks and Recreation:
If you made a fitness-related resolution for the new year, or want to continue your health and wellness journey, Parker Parks and Recreation has a facility, program, sport or class for you. Flip through a digital version of the Winter/Spring 2019 Recreation Activity Brochure to see a catalog of upcoming offerings or visit the Parker Parks and Recreation website for additional information.
