So Long to Summer 5K/10K & Family Fun Trek Aug. 10:
There's still time this summer to set and reach your goals with Parker Parks and Recreation’s So Long to Summer 5K /10K & Family Fun Trek with RNK Running & Walking on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Salisbury Park.

Part of the Parker Parks and Recreation Run Series, the So Long to Summer 5K/10K is professionally timed and the Family Fun Trek is about one mile of laid-back, outdoorsy fun, which includes a “duck hunt” for the kids. The free Kids’ Dash for children 8 and under will follow the run; no registration necessary.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program, which helps Parker families with limited financial resources participate in Town recreation programs and facilities.

Register for the 5K/10K portion of the event on the So Long to Summer webpage.

Let’s Talk Parker Farmer’s Market booth Aug. 18:
The third and final Let’s Talk Parker booth at the Parker Farmer’s Market will take place on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Stop by our tent to chat with a Town staff member or Councilmember. Get to know the people behind the government titles, learn about new projects and initiatives or just find an answer to a question that’s been on your mind. Staff members from various Town departments including the Town Administrator’s Office, Communications, Parks and Recreation, and Police will be on hand to help provide the information that you’re looking for.

This month’s booth will also spotlight the Town’s community engagement website, Let’s Talk Parker, and encourage visitors to register for the website to begin providing their own feedback on Town projects and initiatives.
