Love Parker campaign underway:
The Love Parker campaign is in full swing and you’re invited to tell us why you Love Parker!

Join us for our next event at the Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Drive, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. All you have to do to get some Love Parker gear is stop by our video/photo booth and tell us why you Love Parker. If you can’t visit us in person, go to www.P3Parker.com/LoveParker and enter to win a Love Parker beanie by filling out a quick form about why you love this great community.

Local businesses can participate, too. Visit www.P3Parker.com/LoveParker and fill out our online form to tell us what you love about our community. Participants will get a Love Parker sticker to display on your storefront. Your comments will be used to help market Parker and our local business community and give you a chance to host a Love Parker pop-up event at your business.

Spring activity and camp registration open:
There’s plenty of fun to be had and things to learn with one of Parker Arts’ or Parker Parks and Recreation’s spring classes, sports leagues and camps.

Cram the Cruiser begins March 29:
Join the Parker Police as we Cram our Cruisers for the Parker Task Force. All donations will be used to fill backpacks that are provided to qualifying Parker-area kids each Friday throughout the school year. Backpacks are filled with enough food to get kids through the weekends when they don't have access to nutritious meals from school.

Donation boxes will be set up at Town Hall, the Parker Recreation Center, Parker Fieldhouse and in the Police Department lobby March 29 through April 4. You can help by donating individual-sized food items including applesauce, canned pasta, individual crackers, fruit cups, fruit snacks, granola bars, instant oatmeal, mac and cheese, single serving cereals and pudding cups.


Busy month for arts and cultural presentations:
March offers a flurry of activities at both the PACE Center and The Schoolhouse. These include Roseanne Cash with John Leventhal — She Remembers Everything, Cake Master Live: Demo with Duff, and An Evening with Illusionist Rick Thomas.

Other events like Doktor Kaboom, Colorado Miss Amazing 2020, “How to Get to Heaven” presented by the Cherry Orchard Festival, “The Legend of King Arthur” presented by Rocky Mountain Brassworks, Friday Night Jazz with the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, Comedy & Cocktails with Sam Adams, and public art galleries guarantee entertainment for every member of the family all month long.

Sing Loud, a dueling piano fundraiser for Parker Arts is also scheduled for March 27. Find details about these and other upcoming performances on the Shows & Events calendar.


Monthly public meetings:
Parker Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Mondays, March 2 and 16 in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet. The Council will hold study sessions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9 in the Pikes Peak Community Room at Town Hall.

The Parker Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12 in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.

The Parker Special Licensing Authority will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19 in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.
