April 2020

Make your plans for the month ahead with our list of five things to know for April.

Where to find ongoing coronavirus information:
The Town of Parker continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation to keep our community and staff safe. For the latest Town organizational updates, please refer to www.ParkerOnline.org/Coronavirus.

This page includes a list of cancellations and closures, links to State and Tri-County Health Department information pages, and a collection of available assistance programs and volunteer opportunities.

Virtual fitness classes available from Parker Parks and Recreation:
Get up and get moving from the comforts of your own home during virtual workouts hosted by Parker Parks and Recreation Fitness Division staff! Classes are conducted through the online Zoom meeting platform and later posted to Parker Rec’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

Find a schedule and get the details on joining a class on the Virtual Fitness Class webpage.

#ChooseParker and support our local businesses:
Now, more than ever, is the time to show our love and support for Parker and each other. Many Parker restaurants are now offering delivery, carryout, curbside pickup services. Explore your options on our Restaurant Delivery and Carryout list, Parker Business Directory and Choose Parker campaign homepage.

And have some fun while making a positive impact in the community by playing Love Parker Bingo!
• Track your actions by taking a selfie, photo or screenshot (we know not every action is easily documented, so honor system in place)
• Once you complete a Bingo (5 in a row) send your checked-off card and photos/screenshots to info@p3parker.com
• Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30
• Love Parker prize pack winners will be randomly selected in May

Find ways to give back during Volunteer Month:
April is National Volunteer Month, and in the Town of Parker, there’s a volunteer program or opportunity for everyone.
While some of these programs are on hold during the Stay-At-Home Order, you can still learn about the Town’s many volunteer options by visiting www.ParkerOnline.org/Volunteer or the Town’s Volunteer Connect Douglas County page.

Monthly public meetings:
Please note, Town meetings, including Town Council Meetings and Planning Commission Meetings, will move to a virtual meeting setup for April. For details on how to view these public meetings, including how to participate in public comment, click on the meeting in the Town’s online calendar.

Parker Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Mondays, April 6 and 20. The Council will hold study sessions at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, April 13 and 27.

The Parker Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursdays, April 9 and 23.
