The original item was published from February 8, 2021 11:29 AM to September 15, 2022 4:18 PM

As you may have heard, the Town of Parker will hold a special election on Tuesday, April 20 to fill both former Councilmember Renee Williams’ seat, as well as my former Councilmember seat, which was vacated when I was elected as Parker’s Mayor. The Councilmembers who are elected in April will serve until the next regular municipal election, which will take place on Nov. 8, 2022.

Running for Town Council
Are you or someone you know interested in running for Council? If so, you still have time! To place your name on the ballot, simply pick up a nomination petition, obtain the required number of qualified signatures (as verified by the Town Clerk) and file the acceptance of nomination for Councilmember form with the Town Clerk on or before Monday, Feb. 8. The Town will hold a candidate orientation meeting at Parker Town Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m.  to determine the order of candidate names on the ballot and to provide information related to the election, such as campaign contributions, the Fair Campaign Practices Act, Code of Ethics, Disclosure Statements and Election Signs, as well as many important dates and deadlines.
