Inaugural Parker Fall Fest planned:
The Town of Parker and Xfinity introduce Parker Fall Fest, a new fun-filled week of activities, Sept. 25 to Oct. 2.
A seasonal décor selfie/photo station will be set up throughout the celebration at O’Brien Park near the corner of Victorian Drive and Mainstreet. Downtown visitors will also be able to search for Sam the Xfinity Scarecrow. Just like his friends Buddy the Elf and Lucky the Leprechaun, Sam will be strolling (and hiding) around Mainstreet from noon to 4 p.m., Saturdays, Sept. 25 and Oct. 2.
While in Parker, Sam will hide 20 pumpkins around Parker (along trails, at parks, around downtown, at Town facilities and sponsor businesses) for a special “Prowl for Pumpkins” scavenger hunt presented by the Town, Vitalant and Xfinity. If you spot Sam or any of the pumpkins hidden around town, take a photo and enter it into a prize drawing.

Bike to Work Day rides on Sept. 22:
Ditch your car and travel on two wheels during Bike to Work Day on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
Cyclists can stop by the Town of Parker Breakfast Station Presented by Kaiser Permanente, located at the Cherry Creek Trail under the E-470 overpass, just north of the USMC CPL David M. Sonka Dog Park, from 6 to 9 a.m. The first 200 riders to stop by will receive a customized Parker Bike to Work Day shirt, courtesy of the Town and The Goddard School of Parker.
In addition to shirts, riders can fuel up with grab and go nutrition bars and fresh bananas compliments of Natural Grocers, and bagels, cream cheese and coffee courtesy of the Bagel Stop Café. Elevation Cycles bike technicians will also be on hand for maintenance checks and to answer questions.

Say goodbye to summer at the So Long to Summer 5K/10K:
Enjoy the end of a Colorado summer with Parker Parks and Recreation’s So Long to Summer 5K/10K with RNK Running & Walking on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Salisbury Park.
Part of the Parks and Recreation Run Series, the So Long to Summer 5K/10K is professionally timed. Registered participants will receive a race shirt, custom bib and a delicious post-race pancake breakfast. The free Kids’ Dash for children 8 and under will follow the run; no registration necessary.
Event registration on the So Long to Summer webpage closes at 5 p.m. on Sept. 17. Event-day registration will be available for an additional fee.
2022 Town Calendar photo contest begins:
Do you want to see your photos featured in the Town of Parker’s 2022 calendar? Here’s your chance! Enter your best snapshots of Parker into the Town Calendar photo contest.
Participants 18 and older may enter up to five photos through Oct. 31. Photos must have been taken in the 80138 or 80134 ZIP codes, be without watermark or date stamps and preferably 300 dpi.

Monthly public meetings:
Parker Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 and Monday, Sept. 20. The Council will hold study sessions at 5 p.m. on Mondays, Sept. 13 and 27.
Parker Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 9 and 23.
Parker Special Licensing Authority will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16.
