5 Things To Know For April

Posted on April 3, 2023 at 10:35 AM by Ryne Dittmer

A family poses together while holding the seedling trees they received at the Arbor Day Celebration.

Make your plans for the month ahead with our list of five things to know for April.

Arbor Day Celebration April 29:

Join Parker Parks and Recreation for the Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 29 at Discovery Park.

We will be celebrating by giving out free seedling trees and perennial flowers. Stop by the arborist table and meet the Town’s Parks and Forestry Team, who can answer questions about tree planting, pruning and tree selection. Additional vendors will be present to offer environmental information, kids will enjoy a fun craft and food trucks will be onsite to grab a snack!

Giveaway items are available on a first-come, first-served basis; registration is not required. For more information, visit the event webpage.

2023 Town-organized Community Events Lineup Announced:

The Town of Parker is excited to announce our 2023 lineup of community events and activities including the return of Independence Day fireworks! Save these dates and look for more information to be shared on Town communication channels as each event approaches.

• Independence Day Fireworks Show, July 4

• Parker Fall Fest, Sept. 30

• Home Decorating Contest, Halloween and Holidays

Give Back During Volunteer Month:

April is National Volunteer Month and the Town offers many volunteer opportunities through the year.

Opportunities with the Town and its departments are listed on the Volunteer Parker portal. This online resource offers one-stop shopping for volunteers who want to share their time and skills in our community.

Those looking to help keep Parker beautiful are also encouraged to check out the Adopt-a-Flowerbed and Adopt-a-Street programs.
