Town Launches New Community Event Permit Platform

At the Town of Parker, we often hear from residents that their favorite thing about living here is the authentic hometown feel of the community. Local events are an important part of this community-minded spirt, and almost every weekend of the year, you’ll find something fun and exciting going on in our Town.

Parker’s Town Council and staff are committed to doing all we can to continue to foster this spirt by promoting the organization of local events right here in our community. To that end, we have been working hard over the past year to streamline and simplify our Community Event Permit application process.

The Town recently launched a new Community Event Permit application platform that will make the process of applying for and hosting events in our community easier than ever. The new system, which previously was managed through the Town’s building and planning permit software (TRAKiT), is now more customer-friendly and will lead to a much simpler application process for our community groups who are planning events.

With the new streamlined process, events are organized into one of three categories, each with their own specific application requirements and deadlines: Block Parties (45-day approval requirement), Community Events (90-day approval requirement) and General Events (60-day approval requirement). Additionally, any event hosted outdoors on private property featuring 1,000 or more attendees will also now be subject to this community event permit process.

The Town of Parker is excited to offer this new and improved experience for our community event applicants. Since this is a new process, we do ask for your patience while we work out any bugs or issues that may occur.  We will continue to make improvements as the platform evolves to best assist our event organizers.

The Town’s events team is excited to offer this new experience for our local community groups. We want to make sure we help wherever we can while you continue making Parker such a great place to live!

In-Person Trainings

Since learning new systems can often be difficult, the Town wants to ensure that we provide all the necessary tools for an easy transition to our new Community Event Permit platform. Several in-person trainings will be offered in the months of February through April to assist our event organizers in learning the new platform. Sign up for one of these training sessions and learn more at
