Why is Parker Stars and Stripes canceled?

Due to the uncertainty of restrictions on gatherings, the challenges of monitoring and enforcing social distancing and the amount of advance preparation necessary, the Town has made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration and fireworks show on July 4, 2020. While we are extremely saddened to make this very hard decision and know our community will be disappointed, please know that this step was taken with the health and safety of our community in mind. We look forward to a time, hopefully in the not so distant future, when we can once again gather together as a community. Until then, the Town is finding other ways for our community to still celebrate the best of summer and Parker’s hometown spirit.
